Jubilee Church Refurbishment, Teesside

186 were delighted to support Jubilee Church’s modernisation and transformation in an extensive 3 month programme of works.

The client asked us to improve accessibility, upgrade essential facilities, enhance fire safety, and refresh the overall look and feel of the building.

We started with full site clearance and setup, focusing on the peripheral walls. We installed patress support and completed extensive wall boarding to create a solid foundation for the rest of the works.

Once the structure was prepared, we moved onto the washroom areas. Here, we built new stud walls, completed plastering, and carried out plumbing and electrical installations. We also fitted fire doors to ensure safety and compliance. In the foyer and DB room, we installed new door sets, lintels, and fire-rated stud partitions.

We widened the corridor to improve accessibility. This involved removing existing walls and doors, installing new stud walls, building a new access ramp, and adding handrails, fittings, and electrical door access systems.

Inside the main hall, we installed flat-lay vinyl flooring with welded seams to provide a clean, hard-wearing finish. We completed the seating upgrade by fitting 130 new chairs.

Extensive electrical works throughout the hall, included new lighting, fire alarm works, and upgrades to the distribution systems.

To complete the project, we carried out all decorative works throughout the hall and foyer. We painted both existing and new stud walls, fitted new skirting and door frames, and refreshed balcony fascia features.

We’re very proud of the outcome of the project. The church and its congregation and can now enjoy the benefits of a fresher, brighter, safer and more accessible Church.
