Priory Woods School Staircase & Quad Door Alterations

186 Property Solutions successfully delivered a 1-week programme of alterations at Priory Woods School.

The project focused on altering the existing staircase and installing a new external quad door to improve access and building safety.

The team began by removing the existing staircase’s glass panels and extending the steel balustrade. We then installed ten fire-rated Poplar plywood panels to improve the look and feel of the staircase and vastly increase its safety for all users.

External alterations were carried out simultaneously, with the team removing the existing shutter and window to create a new opening. In its place, the team fitted a modern aluminium external door and window set, and applied mirror film to all designated glazed areas for added privacy and performance.

Finally, plastering, finishing, and full decoration works were completed to ensure a seamless integration with the existing building.
