FedEx Leicester – Dilapidation of Glenfields Warehouse

FedEx had a huge dilapidation claim in one of their flagship garment warehouses located in Leicester.

The warehouse was internally equipped wall to wall with a triple mezzanine covering in excess of 8,000m².

We were instructed after the surveyors could not agree a cash settlement which was a multi million pound claim.

The project had a strict 8 week deadline and a fixed budget with the risk of significant penalties for any delays which would have to be absorbed by our client.

We were able to complete the works on time for a quarter of the cost. A smooth handover was completed on time.

Project status: Complete, 75% under a significant budget.

Full strip out of 3 story mezzanine steel structure; floor space 8000m2 (x3)
Strip out of high level sprinkler system
Reconfigure high fire alarm system to suit open plan layout

To the roof; cleaning, cut edge corrosion and lap joint treatment using Rustoleum Noxyde
Strip out and rationalise electrics to suit the building
Replaced 140 GRP roof lights
